Christina's basic info
I currently coach a young girls fast pitch team. I have been out of the game for about 10 yrs now but recently realized that I still have the ability to play at the levels I used to. My main positions are center field, 3rd base and pitcher (fast). I am extremely versatile- I can play any position on the diamond. I throw right handed but bat both left and right handed. I am also very quick and agile. I am competitive and have the ability to read the plays and react either offensively or defensively. I believe softball is mental and emotional (in your head & heart)-the rest is just repetition.
I began playing softball when I was 3. It began with slow pitch and progressed to fast pitch by the age of 8. I played for the local Little League until I wass to old to play anymore. While playing for the Little League, I also played in ASA. I first began ASA at the age of 12. I progressed into tournament and Jr. Olympic teams by the age of 14. By the age of 16 I was burnt out and uninterested in playing softball in any shape or form. Fast forward 10 yrs later and here I am. |
